Harry Crane was born in Brooklyn, NY and became a stand up comedian by age 19. He was recruited by MGM to write Hollywood films earning his first credit with Air raid wardens (1943). He is best remembered for creating and writing the Honeymooners (1951). In the 1970s, he helped write Dean Martin's Celebrity roast series.
